A student-led computing society at Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. We practice algorithms, build software systems, compete in ICPC, and organize Hack-A-Bit.
What we work on
Decade-long legacy of algorithmic culture, technical workshops, and developer mentoring at BIT Mesra.
Flagship editions of Hack-A-Bit, CodeZilla, CQM, and regional workshops organized on campus.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students engaged annually across problem solving and development tracks.
Continuous participation in ICPC Asia-West regionals and competitive programming platforms.
Core computing domains actively practiced and mentored inside the chapter.
The next opportunity to build and participate with the chapter.
Registration open
Hacktoberfest 2026 is here. This October, ACM BIT Mesra invites students and developers to explore open source, experiment with AI and open-weight models, and build something meaningful.
Explore eventContests, internal sprints, and technical workshops organized across the season.
From algorithmic problem sets to production systems: ACM BIT Mesra connects students who enjoy solving hard problems, competing globally, contributing to open source, and teaching one another.
Deep dives into algorithms, systems engineering, research, and student computing initiatives.
An engineering deep-dive into how distributed databases guarantee linearizability across network partitions: Paxos tradeoffs, Raft mechanics, log compaction, and scaling with Multi-Raft groups.
A deep architectural investigation into how modern LLM inference runtimes like vLLM, TensorRT-LLM, and SGLang achieve high throughput—from memory-bound decoding and KV cache fragmentation to virtual memory paging and continuous iteration-level scheduling.
A deep dive into how algorithmic intuition is developed—moving beyond memorizing algorithms to identifying invariants, problem reductions, and constraint signals.
Foundational problem sets, contest guides, and systems engineering references.
We conduct annual inductions across Competitive Programming, Systems & Web Development, Design, and Chapter Operations. Open to all students at BIT Mesra.
